(mad) Mel Pizzinga.

I love Mel's funky style and no one has even made me laugh out loud reading a blog as often as Mel does.  This gal is hilarious, a wonderful person and has an awesome scrapping style!! I'm so pleased to have her with us as Guest Designer!!

I sent Mel some questions to answer to help us get to know her a little better.  No editting here, just had to paste it exactly as she wrote it....too funny

1. Tell us a little about you.

On a brisk winters morning in 1973, Essendon Hospital was graced with the most beautiful child they had ever seen.... a couple of weeks later I was born in the same hospital... the second child of four in as many years to a hairdresser and an automotive engineer. Life growing up was always lots of fun, happy and noisy... even for the middle child. Tall and lanky - that all went wrong once I hit puberty and everything grew out, down and spotty... I never recovered.

So I studied hard and after 8 long years earned my Naturopath degree, I married my teenage sweetheart and soon had 3 monsters of my own... and a dog... and a white picket fence...livin' the dream.

People describe me as an overweight, tall daggy woman who cant dance... and I'm happy to agree!! Others just try to avoid me...

2. Tell us a little about your style
I don't really have a certain style, just whatever is lying on the floor that smells clean....OH.. scrapping style... I dont really have a scrapping style either. I like lots of layers and busy pages, lumpy and bumpy - just like me. I tend to let the photo guide me as far as the feeling I want to portray in the page.

3. What is your favourite product?
Definitely patterned paper - I have such a big stash but most of it I cant use because I love it too much... I just love looking at it!! and I love collecting journalling cards and "bits" to fill my pages ... and anything vintage... and anything Echo Park, October Afternoon, Cosmo Cricket... OK I will stop now

4. Where do you find the greatest inspiration for your layouts?
I am a serial blog stalker... I have my favourites and get alot of inspiration from online galleries... and again from the photos I take

5. What size do you prefer to scrap?
Always 12x12. I am envious of the girls who scrap in other sizes... one day I will branch out... maybe this is my year...
